Someone being able to hack into your car key fob is probably something you may have never considered.

Hackers are buying devices that will amplify the signal the key fob gives off. They can unlock your doors and even start the engine of your car while you still have possession of your key.

One simple tool you can use to prevent this from happening is probably in your kitchen right now. Aluminum foil actually disables the key fob from working.

It's also a good idea to keep your keys away from the front door of your home. The closer the range to your car, the easier it is for these criminals to get inside.

If you don't have any aluminum foil, you can also stick the key fob inside an aluminum mug to kill the signal as well.
