President Trump will be making his third trip back to Tennessee later this month since being elected.
He will headline a fundraiser for Marsha Blackburn on May 29. Blackburn is running for the Senate seat being vacated by Bob Corker.
According to the fundraiser invitation, tickets are going for up to $44,000. That comes with a private roundtable with President Trump.
Trump’s popularity in Tennessee has remained at 50 percent since his election, roughly 10 points higher than the national average.
But will his popularity be able to get Blackburn the seat?
Recent polling shows former Gov. Phil Bredesen, a Democrat who won every county in the state in his 2006 re-election, is leading Blackburn.
Trump’s stop in Tennessee is six months out from the November election, which is a sign of just how competitive this race is expected to be.
