On Thursday, the occupants of two SUVs, a Jeep and a Ford Expedition, exchanged gunfire with each other on Bell Road as the vehicles rammed each other, according to police. The last of the gunfire occurred at the intersection of Bell Road and Eagle View Boulevard.

Woodruff and Lesean Campbell, 20, fled from the Jeep and are believed to have been among those who carjacked a Chevrolet Malibu from Thornton's.

Campbell, who was wounded, was driven to East Nashville where he was dumped out at the East Community Center. An uninvolved citizen drove Campbell to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he is in stable condition.

The Expedition ended up at a nearby apartment complex. David Young, 22, was wounded while in the Expedition and called a relative to take him to the hospital, according to police. Young is in serious but stable condition, according to police.
