A man shot in the head on Monday night in East Nashville has died, according to Metro Police.
Police said on Thursday that Alando Harris Jr., 22, died at Skyline Medical Center.
Officers were in the area on an unrelated call when they reported hearing gunshots in the 800 block of Dickerson Pike just before 6 p.m.
Harris was later found in the 1600 block of Treutlan Place.
According to police, the victim's father moved his son to the second location.
Officers initially pronounced Harris dead at the scene, but he was later transported to Skyline Medical Center in very critical condition.
The victim's father told police he and his son were meeting up with someone after an argument on social media. The shooting was caught on surveillance video. According to officials, shots were fired shortly after the suspects and the victims arrived in their vehicles.
Police said the victim's father identified the suspected gunman, Jadon Malone, 20, in a photographic lineup.
Malone was allegedly caught on camera at a different location removing the license plate from his SUV. After the shooting, Malone traveled to James Cayce public housing where he was taken into custody.
Malone, 20, is charged with attempted criminal homicide. He is being held in jail without bond after being booked around 2:20 a.m. Tuesday.
