Metro Animal Control is looking for the Good Samaritan who called police after seeing a dog thrown out of a car window early Monday morning.

The dog was thrown out of a car at the intersection of Charlotte Avenue and Dr. D.B. Todd Boulevard around 1 a.m.

“The dog suffered severe brain trauma and unfortunately had to be euthanized,” said Sue Baker with Metro Animal Care and Control. “We’re not exactly sure what happened yet. We’re hoping that the Good Samaritan would come forward with more information. We’re going to prosecute to the fullest extent, if that’s what it requires.”

If you were in the area at the time and think you saw something, call Metro Animal Control at 615-862-7928.
