Two victims of the Waffle House shooting on Sunday morning remain in stable condition at Vanderbilt University Medical Center on Monday.

That's a step up for the conditions of both Sharita Henderson and Shantia Waggoner from Sunday.

On Monday, a man shared his words of support with a major reach.

"92Q, the best mix of R'n'B," said Kenny Smoov, broadcasting from his studio off Music Row. "We're doing what we do, getting you guys in the Monday spirit. Stick around. When we come back, we've got more of your favorites on the way here on 92Q."

"I've been in radio since CDs were popular," said Smoov between live hits on-air. "It's been since about 1995."

In that career in radio, Smoov can now clearly see drive and ambition in others. He said it's there in friend and co-worker Sharita Henderson.

"The thing that struck me about Sharita was her creativity," he said. "She has a lot of great ideas, and I'm a person who thrives on the next great idea. I don't have the next million dollar idea. You may. She just has tons of ideas."

Smoov said it was a perfect fit for Sharita to become promotions director for the station, a member of the 92Q family.

"When we bring you in, we bring you in," he said, turning his attention to a chair across from him. "Sharita sits right there on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. We game plan what we're going to do with promotions."

Sunday, that radio family learned Sharita had been rushed to Vanderbilt. She'd been shot at that Waffle House in Antioch.

"Once we found out, we were just devastated," said Smoov. "We didn't know how bad the situation was, and we were just thankful that God put an angel on her. We really were."

"We're just praying for her speedy recovery, and I want you guys to continue to do that," Smoov told listeners during a live hit. "We know angels are watching her, and everything's going to turn out alright. Right? Right."

A radio family has Sharita's seat waiting for her for when she's ready.

"Wow," said Smoov. "There's a lot of love here."
